I think we as artists should be committed to our communities and give from our talents to alleviate the pain and distress of some of the poorest in the world. I have organized some charity events in the past and the money that was collected was donated to Save the Children Foundation. This time I decided to review some of their current programs and I came across this beautiful program called HEART. HEART involves arts, it allows children to express their feelings by drawing, some of these children are HIV positive and the foundation provides social workers and psychologists as well as drawing materials for them. HEART stands for Healing and Education Through the Art. A real beautiful chance given to this kids to heal their emotional distress, product of the extreme poverty and conditions in which they live and In many occasions of the death of their parents victims of the HIV.
A Song’s Journey travels not only to feature independent and fresh talents, but also to send a clear message: Arts unite people, arts get the best out of us as humans, and arts can be an amazing tool to contribute in our communities.
Any royalties and revenue derived from ‘I’m Traveling the World’ will be donated to HEART, and is my pleasure and happiness to contribute to this cause, and I know all of my fellow musicians taking part of this project feel the same way.
